The National Education Association (NEA) held its annual convention in Denver, Colorado July 3-7, 2026. The NEA is the largest labor union in America with nearly 3 million dues paying members.

You will want to watch PragerU’s exposé of the radical resolutions they have proposed and passed for 2026.

One particularly striking focus of the convention was NEA’s workshop training teachers to identify and renounce their systemic “adultism.” The NEA defines “adultism” as an unequal balance of power; systemic prejudice, a stereotype and discrimination against young people based on the assumption that adults are inherently superior in knowledge and virtue. It is a term coined by Marxists that undermines legitimate adult authority over children that promotes youthful rebellion against parents, teachers, pastors and counsellors.

The NEA considers adultism a serious injustice that needs to be dismantled.  They identify teachers, adult authority figures and obviously parents who assume superior knowledge and experience over children as guilty of practicing “adultism.”

To combat adultism, the NEA has developed teacher training tools that “identify” inherent “adultism.” Teachers are advised to recognize their “adult” attitudes when it comes to discipline, grades, curriculum, class rules and dealing with the mental health issues of children.

The NEA’s war against “adultism” is also a war on parental authority. If parents forbid their children to attend school dressed as a furry or to assume a false sexual identity, for example, the parents are guilty of “adultism.”

The organization East Bay Getting To Zero (EBGTZ) describes adultism like this:

Adultism is prejudice or discrimination against young people as a group. The National Youth Rights Association further defines adultism as “behaviors and attitudes based on the assumption that adults are better than young people, and entitled to act upon young people without their agreement. This mistreatment is reinforced by social institutions, laws, customs, and attitudes.”

Adultism should be combated in every workspace because it adds to the stigma that children and youth are inferior and incapable. It also excludes their voices, opinions, and expertise in industries where their knowledge is needed.

It goes without saying that since the beginning of time, humans have understood the obvious: children lack maturity in wisdom, experience, knowledge, discernment, responsibility and accountability.

For example, the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain responsible for things like planning, impulse control, and decision-making, is generally considered not fully developed until approximately age 25. It is the last part of the brain to mature. Abstract reasoning doesn’t develop until around about 12 years old. Children need to grow up before they can be entrusted with consequential decisions. In fact, modern brain science now allows us to actually track that development.

But we don’t need to be scientists to state the obvious either. We still have to tell children not to stick their tongues onto frozen poles, eat food with dirty hands or stick crayons up their nose! Kids will do very dumb and dangerous things without proper guidance and instruction.

And between the ages of 12 and 18, many teens think they already know everything. We can all relate to Mark Twain who said: “When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years.”

Not surprising, then, that the NEA is instructing teachers to assure teenagers that their elders need to learn a thing or two. Fomenting rebellion is the NEA’s single purpose, and in stoking the flames of adolescence, they victimize the very youth they claim to liberate.

The NEA’s fabricated injustice of adultism is an alarming progression of the Marxist revolution among us. It is an echo of the Chinese Red Guard that ended in young people slaughtering their teachers and parents.

Proper authority is the basis of government, and the family is its foundation. There is no more fundamental revolutionary doctrine than undermining adult authority over youth. It has the potential to unleash devastating chaos.

The NEA is organized for revolution.

The immediate academic consequences of indoctrinating children for revolution rather than educating them are stark. In the latest Minnesota testing, “Nearly two-thirds of Minnesota 11th graders are below grade level in math, and the class of 2025 posted the worst academic performance on record for a graduating cohort even as it earned the highest graduation rate ever,” the Center of the American Experiment reports. “…the ACT also reveals similar academic challenges, with the class of 2025 posting the lowest average score since 1996, which had a similar participation rate as today.”

As Marissa Streiter said: “To be silent on what is happening with the education industrial complex is betrayal of our children.”

An overall summary of core NEA 2026 Resolutions include:

  • Ethnic studies/collective grievances
  • Affirmation of LGBTQ++ issues and identities
  • Pro-illegal immigration/and birthright citizenship
  • Anti-Ice propaganda
  • A renewed commitment to their 2025 resolution where they committed to opposing President Trump’s “facism,” [sic], a resolution in which they misspelled fascism twice in the original text
  • A $5M proposed expenditure to march on Washington until Trump is removed from office
  • Educational reparations
  • And a resolution to test all children for blood clots and cardiac issues
What? Isn’t this the same union during Covid which FORCED teachers and students to take the experimental shots?
  • Introduction of new terms like “linguistic responsiveness” which hides their original and sustained commitment to cultural competency/social justice.

We are grateful for organizations like PragerU which understand how dangerous the NEA is to the physical and mental health of our children and are not afraid to call them out. As PragerU CEO Marissa Sreit said to Corey DeAngelis during the interview:

There are times in history where silence is betrayal. We are living through that time right now. To be silent on what is happening with the education industrial complex is betrayal of our children. Anybody that thinks that what you and I are uncovering here is either no big deal or something that others should fight against but not they themselves…Anytime that people think that somebody else should be dealing with the future of our children is the time that they are betraying our children truly.
