Annunciation Church Shooting: Repeal Minnesota’s Counseling Ban

The murderous shooting of innocent children at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis on August 27th is deeply horrifying and heartbreaking, but it is not shocking.

In Minnesota, radical gender activists are controlling the political agenda. As a result, our children are actively being “transed” and counseling for minors to help them understand and become comfortable in their natural, biological sex has been criminalized.

The ban on talk therapy is one more attack on vulnerable children. It closes off the only mental health service that can provide them genuine help. We call on the legislature to repeal the ban.

Child Protection League joins with others:

Robert Westman, the Minneapolis trans-shooter who then turned his gun on himself, stated in his manifesto, “I am tired of being trans, I wish I never brain-washed myself. I can’t cut my hair now as it would be embarrassing defeat…” He expressed a desire to “detrans” but thought he had crossed the point of no return.

No one brainwashes themselves. But he knew he had believed a lie. In fact, no Minnesota counselor or psychiatrist could legally help him get off the path he was on. The gender radical groups like OutFront MN and Gender Justice have deceitfully labeled talk therapy, which helps children accept their biological sex, as “conversion therapy” to scare people. It conjures up images of religious zealots forcing children to renounce their imagined gender identities through emotional and spiritual torture. Helping children understand their biological gender is actually CONFIRMATION of what is genetically observable and real.

Gender zealots have trapped gender confused children in a false doctrine of affirmation-only. It is presented as the only way forward. No one is allowed to step in to help and they block every trans-child’s off-ramp.

And because the ban drives affirmation only, this outrageous law criminalizes any therapy that seeks to help “change behaviors” toward sexual normality:

“Gender affirmation” harms parents and children

Unless parents are also brainwashed into accepting radical gender ideology, they are trapped by this law, too. If they refuse to affirm, they risk the state removing their children from their home. If parents question the medical counsel, they are given a “Sophie’s choice” ultimatum.  “Do you want a dead son or a live daughter?” If they dare to challenge the approved narrative, the mob labels them unloving, hateful, bigots and responsible for any harm their child experiences. The intense manipulation and shaming of parents with gender confused kids is psychological manipulation and bullying.

At the slightest sign of gender confusion, children and young people are given powerful drugs with black box warnings. They are plied with wrong-sex hormones that wreak havoc on their bodies, sterilizing chemicals such as Lupron and SSRI’s-anti-psychotic drugs whose side effects commonly involve depression, psychotic behavior, suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation and out of body experiences.

Minnesota classrooms sow gender confusion

Minnesota long ago began teaching children as young as preschool that gender was a “social construct” and could be anything they invented out of thin air. This fall, third graders are required to use “non-binary pronouns” in writing assignments as part of their English Language Arts curriculum. MN teacher licensing standards require teachers to affirm gender ideology as fact in their classrooms.

 

 

Classrooms are saturated with trans-affirming propaganda, books, videos, health curriculum, social studies curriculum and the required use of preferred pronouns.

And Comprehensive Sexuality Education Curriculum, embedded in the proposed new Minnesota Health Standards, grooms children for sexual confusion, vulnerability and exploitation because it tears down all their natural defenses and encourages sexual exploration as a “right.”

Next steps

Be informed. Gender ideology is anti-science and violates well-known biological fact. “Gender medicine” is not based on science or medicine or full informed consent! Please be familiar with this information and share it with others.

Point out fraudulent research. This Open letter to CNN editor on ‘conversion therapy’ refutes the false claims of the therapy ban by calling out the “research” behind it:

You rely heavily on studies claiming SOCE [Sexual Orientation Change Efforts] causes harm, particularly the oft-cited Shidlo & Schroeder (2002). JHS Volume 6 exposes this research as methodologically corrupt: participants were recruited through gay activist publications targeting those dissatisfied with SOCE; satisfied participants were excluded; and abuse, coercion, and voluntary counseling were lumped together as if they were the same. Christopher Rosik, Ph.D., has rightly labeled this a case study in advocacy research, not objective science.

Special Session
Governor Walz is calling a Special Session to respond to the Annunciation attack on our children. Our children need help and our families need help.  Banning guns won’t help anyone but criminals.

Instead, repealing Minnesota’s counseling ban must be the Special Session’s agenda. Ask your state legislator to sign on or introduce a bill to repeal Minnesota’s counseling ban.

CAUTION TO LEGISLATORS: Do not get played by the intense pressure to add more mental health providers or clinics in schools! Be advised that most of the mental health industry has already been overrun with gender radicals and the affirmation-only approach. They endorse the gender radical dogma. For this reason, the mental health industry is complicit in creating this “mental health crisis.” They are lying when they tell children they can change their gender or that they may have been born in the wrong body. And according to Minnesota state law, they can ONLY affirm gender confusion anyway.

As Abigail Shrier explains so well, when you “over screen” for “low incidence” conditions, you will produce an “overwhelming number” of “false positives.” These children will get pushed into the “mental health funnel”, wind up “seeing” themselves differently and be hooked for a “lifetime” on psych meds. This kind of brainwashing and medicating will create more suicidal and violent Robin Westmans.

Please share this information with your state legislators

It is also time to stand up to and/or defeat every single person who insists we must teach and accept gender ideology as fact. This includes school board members, city council members, church leadership and legislators. If they claim in the name of being “inclusive and welcoming” that everyone else must embrace and accept every gender delusion as fact, yet criminalize counseling that doesn’t, they do not have the best interest of children at heart. They are not protecting children. All must go. And when they MOCK your prayers, that tells you something about this demonic agenda that is literally killing our children.

Elect and elevate leaders who will write policy, legislation and curriculum that reflects scientific and biological reality. Parental rights must be restored and children must be protected from indoctrination and physical and emotional abuse.
